Freshen Up with a Berry Smoothie
11/29/13 — It’s that time of year. We’re all eating a little (or a lot) heavier than usual. But this recipe is a tasty way to freshen things up. It’s a simple smoothie that’s full of feel good effects.
Chocolate Banana Berry Smoothie
- 5-8 dark cherries, frozen
- 1 banana
- 1 cup almond milk (unsweetened), regular milk, soy, hemp or rice milk also work
- 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
- Handful of fresh spinach, optional
Combine all the ingredients in a blender. Pulse until smooth.
